About - Goals & Objectives

Palmer Youth Center Seeks to Achieve the Following Goals and Measurable Objectives to Fulfill Our Mission:

As our community continues to grow, we became aware of the need for more space to accommodate a wide range of activities for our citizens. This building captures those needs, and with your help we can make this building a success.

• Replace the one level field house built in the 1960s at the existing Palmer Township Athletic Complex and convert it to a new multi-level and multi-purpose building for Palmer Township residents. The new building will exceed 8,600 square feet and will service youth athletics and more.
  
  
• The lower level of the facility will be used for Palmer Township Athletic Association activities and includes a 2,397 square foot multipurpose room, a weigh-in room, a coaches office, two restroom facilities accessible from the exterior of the building, two interior restrooms and a utility closet. The exterior of the first floor looks over the Palmer Township All-Purpose Field and includes a Sport Porch.
  
  
• The upper level of the facility will consist of a 2,997 square foot Community Room, an activities office, a storage room, a meeting room, a kitchen area, two restrooms and a foyer (anteroom). The upper level of the building will be used by community organizations and groups such as: music groups, boy and girl scouts, church groups, charitable organizations, youth clubs and senior groups, etc.
  
  

The Multi-Sport Room on the first floor of the Palmer Youth Center will be used by the Palmer Township Athletic Association for the following purposes:

• Locker room for the football program in the fall season.
• A practice facility for the wrestling program in the winter season.
• Batting/pitching cages for the baseball and softball programs in the spring season.
• Indoor practice space for the field hockey, lacrosse and soccer programs in the spring and summer seasons.
